Holiday Traditions: Printable Activity Advent Calendar
I had so much fun putting together one of our Thanksgiving traditions, the Thankful Turkey, for you guys. I decided it would be fun to share another family tradition, and give it a fresh spin for my own family.
This printable activity advent calendar consists of pillow boxes big enough for small candies for the kids, as well as printable activity cards to put in the boxes. The cards say things like “decorate the tree”, “go on a walk and look at lights” and “build a snowman.”
When assembled, this advent calendar will give the kids something exciting to look forward to each day, and help inspire you to enjoy lots of fun holiday activities as a family.
Don’t worry, I included blank cards so you can write your own activities and adapt it to your own individual traditions. There are two versions of the pillows, so look carefully when you print- pages 2-26 are the pillows shown here, with the details flat printed. Pages 27-56 are blank boxes and decorative elements for you crafty types to add the details individually to give it a 3-D touch. The activity cards start on page 57.
This took me a couple hours to cut and assemble, but now that the boxes are together, I am excited to start planning our holiday activities!

Thank you so much for these! I have been trying various advent projects every year & none of them stuck (needs to hold little candies, have a Christmas activity & small or disposable for a clutter free Christmas). This one looks like a keeper & I LOVE that I have this saved to my computer to print year after year!!
I have one question – is printer paper sturdy enough or should I use cardstock?
Thank you again for your hard work to create all these amazing free printables!
