Hearts for Home Blog Hop #30

Sharing is caring!

Happy Thursday! This week is flying by. Fall is here in Germany, and I can just feel my heart breaking! Our town is all excited for the huge Wine Fest downtown, pumpkins are already out on carts to purchase, and the leaves have started changing. If you have a way to stop time, I would really, really appreciate it. Share that post for me today, okay?

Shining posts this week:

Hearts for Home 30

The Most Clicked:

Mama Kautz has been Homeschooling with Netflix– she has a really helpful list of literature turned into movies for you to use with the kids.

My Favorites:

There is Grace has a series going called the Great Education Debate. Her post this week is on “Why I Choose Public School.” I love the idea of this series. She says she doesn’t want to encourage debate and disagreement- she wants real people to share about their real choices. I feel like a lot of times we end up with an “Us vs Them” mentality, and I really hate that in our Homeschool communities. How we educate is a personal and very difficult decision. Major Kudos to There is Grace for encouraging conversation rather than disagreement.

The Travelers Wife has a post entitled “Lets talk about S-” … and it cracks me up. I love when people use clever hooks to get me to read. I also fell off my routine this summer, Travelers Wife, I feel you!

And, as an Air Force family, how can I not feature Royal Little Lambs 5 Days of Military History? Teaching kids about military history is tough. She has some wonderful resources!

Let me know in the comments what you think of their fantastic posts, or share your favorite post from last week!

Wait until you read my blog for tomorrow. It’s pretty much the opposite. Well, sort of. My heart is breaking, but it’s because I won’t get a fall. I NEED fall and love it and miss it and Fall in Germany is my favorite. My heart is breaking because I’m not there.
