V is for Vegetable Garden

Part of the boy’s science studies this year include tending to the container garden we have out on our patio. We are on the third floor, and have just enough room for rows of pots. I am not used to German weather at all, and am still not sure what to plant here (let alone in pots) but we have had a little success with our plants.

Just today, we made our first “harvest”, the one and only carrot that grew despite small children digging in its soil and the itty bitty living space.

It’s a purple carrot!!!

And of course, a carrot he grew himself, is the BEST carrot ever.
