Get going- with lessons and leaving!

I just finished planning Bug’s first week of “real” homeschooling. This week we are focusing on starfall.com’s Peg the Hen book (with associated workbook pages), as well as progressive phonics short vowel ‘e’ book. We are also going to work on the kindergarten review chapter of the Math Mammoth book.

Both Boys will work on the letter E for handwriting, and little man will join us to listen to the stories as Bug reads, and do some letter E coloring and work from the starfall ABC’s workbook.

I feel like I have a manageable amount of work scheduled for us this week, but we’ll see in practice if it will really work out the way I envision it.

I really think its going to be good, this morning Bug woke up asking when we were going to do his “learning” and hounded me all day about it. Sunday is our day off though!

We have so much going on getting ready for our flights on friday. I can’t believe this is our last week home in california! The bags are packed and ready to go, and we are rushing to get as much time in with friends and family as we can. I am a mess of emotions, from excited and antsy to get going already, and sad about leaving behind the people I love…. I don’t know what to do with myself! The goal is to just have fun this week, and keep myself distracted from the sad parts. I feel like we have been in limbo FOREVER, getting ready to go, and saying goodbyes. I’m ready to be done with it.

I just want to get through this week, get to Germany, and get on with everything!
