About Us

I just realized that I haven’t updated this page in probably far too long! When I started this blog, this was us:

All of Us!

We started homeschooling when Bug was 5, just a couple months into the school year. He attended public school very briefly, but I realized quickly that it wasn’t the right fit for our family.

Something big happened around the same time too- Air Force Daddy received orders to report to Germany…. and off we went to explore the world. For the past three years, our life has been all about adventure, seeing new places, meeting new people, and trying new things. It has been the most amazing, oh my gosh, someone pinch me kind of life.

Our homeschooling style has evolved as we did, and while we started school as very traditional, school and home types, soon, we became more and more adventurous, and took our learning out on the road.

If you click on the Wanderlust tab at the top of this blog, you can check out our adventures, and see some of the world the way we did while we were traveling.

Recently, Air Force Daddy took a new assignment, this time in the Washington DC area. We’re currently expecting our fourth homeschooled student, so our travel has slowed down- but not for long! As soon as I get this bugger OUT, we’re planning on getting back into the car and exploring our our country as much as we explored Europe.

This blog has evolved too, and became less about being a place for me to talk to myself, and more of a place for me to chat with other homeschoolers. I’ve really enjoyed “meeting” my readers on Facebook, and discussing the joys and struggles of homeschooling over email. I’m hoping this year to meet many of you at some homeschool conventions as well! It’s going to be awesome being back in the states.

And, that’s about that. If you want to know more, stick around, or drop me a line!

Hello, and thanks for the follow at my site!
When I first landed here, I thought your son had a snake draped over his arm in the header photo. I thought, “Now THAT is passionate curiosity, if I ever saw it!” But, what is that thing they are examining?
Such cute kids! So glad someone in Germany is homeschooling . . .
